Audio Technician

Today I got together with a friend of mein who has offered to help me with my sound effects!

My friend has been studying sound for a couple of years and was eager to help my with my project, so after I had filtered down some of my footage I took it along and met up with him. I showed him the various shots and discussed what kinda sounds il be looking for, for example; footsteps on different surfaces, breathing, weapon reports, various explosions, bullet impacts and also the sound of empty shells hitting the ground. These are the primarily sounds I require at the moment, I may still have to fine tune some of the above and even think of new sounds I need for my project as it evolves. I also talk about having some sort of intro music track and also a simple backing track to the composition, my friend played my some rifts on his guitar and talking about what was and was not possible. He also played me some simple sounds from various software packages and we talked about how to go about making the individual sounds.

I have just created a DropBox online i have given my friend acces to so we can continue to show each other our work as it progresses even if we are cities apart, I have also planned to allow my technical supervisor acces to this so he can follow my work in progress.
